Pulitzer winner at KC Libs
Two events take place in conjunction with The Fine Art of Jazz exhibit of photography of Jazz musicians by Pulitzer Prize-winning Photographer Dan White at the Kansas City, Mo public library’s Central Library. The exhibit runs April 10-May 23.
The first event, “A Conversation with Dan White on the Fine Art of Jazz” takes place from noon to 1pm on Wednesday, April 14 in room 303 of the Miller Nichols Library at UMKC.
Join Chuck Haddix, jazz historian and head of the Marr Sound Archives, as he welcomes internationally acclaimed photographer Dan White.
Dan will discuss the art of photography and share insights gleaned from working with many of Kansas City’s greatest jazz legends.
A reception will follow.

At the second event, 6:30pm April 14 at the Central Library, Chuck Haddix will discuss the musicians portrayed in the exhibition.
